The incidence of this disease showed high percentage in July. Histopathological examination of the examined fish revealed inflammation of the intestine, enteritis and leucocytes proliferation. Many parasites were found in the inflamed area. There was no parasite and pathological changes were found in liver, kidney, spleen, and stomach of examined fish. Four chemotherapeutic agents were used for treatment of the infested fish. It was found that the Metronidazole at a concentration of 10,000 ppm gave more effective in eliminating the parasites than Furazolidone, Copper sulphate and Magnesium sulphate, at concentrations of 75 ppm, 1 ppm and 3 percent in feed respectively. |

Edema, hyperplasia and telangiecstasis of secondary lamellae were the common lesions observed in gills of sea bass exposed to all concentrations of WSE. of crude oil. There was a substantial increased in the number of mucous cells in the olfactory mucosa along the periphery of the olfactory lamellae at the highest concentrations of WSF. Histopathological changes of skin, muscle, gills and internal organs were studied. Histopathological observations indicated that the gills and the internal organs appeared normal, whereas inflammatory responses of skeletal muscle of the early stage was detected. It was characterized by diapedesis of blood vessels in the hypodermal layer, hydropic degeneration of muscle fibres and myoseptum. Advanced stage was characterized by the appearance of dead cells of epidermis, dermis and hypodermis and formation of ulcerative lesions on the body surface. The natural healing process was observed and characterized by the migration of epithelial cells of epithelial cells to cover the lesion. In addition, fibrosis and granulation were observed by day 4. The lesion was completely healed within 3 weeks after the bacterial injection. |

Average mortality rate for the fish fed pantothenic acid – deficient diet was 80%. Mortalities first occurred during the 5th week. At the beginning of 5th week the fish fed the pantothenic acid-free diet showed eroded barbells and fins. Moribund fish fed vitamin-free diet at the 12th week showed hemorrhagic areas on the skin and Aeromonas hydrophila was isolated from liver and kidney. Histopathologically, epidermal necrosis of the barbells was observed on fish fed pantothenic acid-free diet at 5th week. However, clubbed gills was found at the 12th week. Lesions were also observed in skin, liver and spleen of moribund fish fed vitamin – free diet accompanied by A. hydrophila infection at 12 weeks. |

The fry developed to fingerling size within 15 days after hatching. The development and formation of the organs of Siamese fighting fish fry from day 1 to day 30 are described. Yolk sac was reabsorbed within day 4 after hatching. The nervous system including the brain, ears, spinal cord ect, was well developed in comparison to the other systems of the fry at same age. It was almost completely developed into different parts when the fry was 2 days old. The heart of 1-day fry was the blood chamber and it developed into the complete four chambers at the age of 8 days. The digestive tract was developed as a long blind tube from day one and became fully formed as the one in adult around day 15. Exocrine pancreas and spleen were forming by day 3 and 5, respectively. The skeletal muscle blocks were separated from each other by the myoseptum. They quickly expanded in volume. Thyroid gland and thymus gland were observed around day 7 and day 8, respectively. The labyrinth organ was found at the anterior area of opercular chamber by day 9. Around day 15, gonads were differentiated into ovary or testes. |
